Hi. I am Maddy/Mad Sads/Madeleine Sadler and I am a designer and writer based in London(ish!).
An employer referred to me once as a ’floater’... not because I live on a boat but because he saw over and over that I could be launched out of my depth and thrive. To avoid any toilet-humour, I prefer to see myself as a puzzle solver. I enjoy learning, being challenged and solving creative problems.
I have a background in Fine Art, have designed and co-written several books and am passionate about using design and words to do justice to great ideas and stories. I have worked with authors, artists, and musicians and do a lot of projects children (fun and often the bossiest clients). I love books, fonts, travel and that working in design has the potential for exploring many different projects, industries and places.
Outside of working I try to spend time painting, reading, cooking and exploring... I inevitably end up fixing something on my boat BUT that is often just as satisfying as any other creative task!
So if you need a graphic designer, who is liked by cats (a proud achievement) and who can also write, edit, illustrate, maintain a cranky diesel engine and build working ferris wheels out of cardboard boxes GET IN TOUCH.
